BlueBird Aerosystems' MicroB flight demonstration at Farnbough 2010

The MicroB electrically powered flying wing from Israel’s BlueBird Aviation is a small Micro

UAV designed as single man-operable, back packable UVS. The MicroB was developed by BlueBird in parralel to other flying wing designs.

The MicroB demonstrated a silent flight terminated on the predestinated landing point using a parachute landing. MicroB has already been tested by operational units and is said to be operational with an unidentified customer.  BlueBird is considering using introducing a new launching method for the MicroB, utilizing a hand gund system instead of a bungee or catapult.  Another UAV from Blue Bird, the Boomerang, was also flown by YellowPlane on the aerial display.

The MicroB retrieved by a braking parachure, at the mission termination point.
